The railway authorities objected to the order of railway police to check ticketless passengers.

AIG Operations Railway Police issued a circular on September 17 according to which SHO of Railway Police will check tickets in first shift and Additional SHO in second shift, next day instructions regarding ticket checking procedure were also issued.

On the orders of IG Railway Police Fakhar Sultan, Chief Commercial Manager Railways sent a letter to the police.

It has been stated in the post that according to the law, railway police is not authorized to check tickets.

According to the Chief Commercial Manager, ticket checking is not part of the duties or job of the Railway Police, the job of the police is only to assist the ticket checking staff.
