Indian athlete Suchika Taryal flaunts her sportsman spirit after defeat in the Asian Games.
In the semi-finals of MMA, Indian athlete Suchika was defeated by Singapore’s Hoi Hoon, however, she refused to accept defeat and did not shake hands with the rival athlete and the referee in protest.
In the 60kg category, Suchika refused to concede defeat and protested against the referee’s decision.
The contest was tied at the scheduled time, upon which India challenged the decision, but after a review, the judges upheld their decision.
The Indian athlete faced defeat for being 700 grams overweight.
According to the rules, if the competition is tied, the athlete with the lower weight is declared the winner.
