US President Donald Trump has rejected calls to slow the pace of artificial intelligence (AI) globally.

In a statement, President Trump said that he believes that whoever leads the development of artificial intelligence will be the winner.

He added that he would never stop the development of something that would prove to be bigger than the Industrial Revolution.

Trump also said that people view AI as something bigger than the industrial revolution or the Internet itself.

The US president also announced his plan to name AI as superintelligence and said that the word superintelligence sounds better than AI.
