In view of the possible long march of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on September 27, the Punjab government has requested to downgrade mobile and internet services from September 27.

The Punjab Home Department has written a letter to the federal government.

According to sources, mobile and internet shutdown has been requested in certain areas of district Attock, Rawalpindi.

Sources say that there was a request to shut down mobile and internet services and weaken the signal.

The Punjab government made the request in view of the expected law and order situation, the letter referred to the letter of the Central Police Office Punjab Lahore.

Sources in the Home Department have said that internet jamming has been requested at specific locations in Rawalpindi, including the areas of Brahma, Bahtar, Taxila, Wah Sadar and Chakri in Rawalpindi.
