Indian actress Shruti Haasan has expressed her views on marriage after entering the age of 40 and said that I am afraid of losing my independence after marriage.

Shruti Haasan, speaking on a podcast aired on Soha Ali Khan’s YouTube channel, has expressed her reluctance to associate her identity with the legal bond of marriage.

The actress has said that I am very traditional in some respects while in some other respects I am conservative in my way of thinking, but behind these thoughts are not pressure from anyone but my own thinking.

According to Shruti Haasan, the thought of paperwork, huge expenses and pretense for marriage bothers me, I love that my partner and I choose each other every day not because of a paper document but because of our will.

The actress has said that I had come close to marriage in the past and at that time I did not find marriage so scary, but the huge expenses incurred on marriage still bother me.

He has jokingly said that instead of spending so much money, it should be given in charity.

It should be noted that Shruti Haasan was in a relationship with artist Santanu Hazarika in the past, but both ended their 4-year relationship in 2024 due to personal differences.
