Special security of the American Secret Service was provided to the Iranian President Masoud Al-Badzikian in the United States.
Masoud Al-Mabzikian is in the American city of New York to address the United Nations General Assembly. In addition to the president, the security of other Iranian officials in New York is being done by the State Department’s ‘Diplomatic Security Service’.
According to the American media, the federal security agencies responsible for the security of the medics and other members of the Iranian delegation are also assisted by members of the New York Police Department’s Intelligence Bureau, investigators and the Highway Patrol.
Iranian President Masoud Al-Mabikian has said that he will highlight the martyrdom of dozens of children in an attack on a primary school in southern Iran at the beginning of the war in his address to the United Nations General Assembly.
It should be noted that on February 28, at the beginning of the war between the United States and Iran, the Shajra Tayyaba school in the city of Minab in southern Iran was targeted by the American attack.
According to Iranian officials, at least 156 people were killed in the attack, including 120 children and 26 teachers.
In March, two sources familiar with an ongoing internal investigation by U.S. officials told CNN that U.S. Central Command had developed the coordinates of targets for the attack based on outdated information provided by the Defense Intelligence Agency, which led to the error.
US President Donald Trump had initially claimed that responsibility for the attack could also be imposed on Iran. However, when asked why no official in his own administration was publicly backing the claim, Trump replied, “Because I don’t know enough about it.”
The Pentagon’s internal investigation remains stalled. According to CNN, three sources familiar with the matter said that the Pentagon has not yet begun a review of satellite images and other intelligence sources by Defense Intelligence Agency analysts.
This month, the UN fact-finding mission concluded in a new report that the attack could potentially amount to a war crime.
The report of the UN Independent International Investigation Mission is yet to be submitted to the UN Human Rights Council, but in the future it may be used in other international courts, including the International Criminal Court.
