ISLAMABAD (News Reporter/Rana Ghulam Qadir) Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, has said that the strong implementation of reforms has helped Pakistan maintain economic stability, restore confidence and regain access to the global market. Continuing the reforms will increase the economic development and help improve the quality of life of the people. According to the details, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The two leaders reviewed the continuation of the IMF program and the progress of the reform process. The Prime Minister reiterated the unwavering commitment of the government to successfully implement the ongoing reform program with the support of the IMF. The two leaders also discussed the upcoming IMF program review of Pakistan, the ongoing cooperation between Pakistan and the IMF to advance reforms, strengthen the country’s economy and promote sustainable economic growth.
