Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to postpone the long march till October 5.

Sources say that a decision was taken in the PTI political committee meeting in Peshawar regarding the long march, according to which the long march of September 27 will be postponed and held on October 5.

Sources said that this decision will be officially announced after Mehmood Achakzai, Allama Nasir is taken into confidence. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi requested Barrister Gauhar to call the two leaders.

Sources said that Barrister Gauhar asked Sohail Afridi to make the call himself. In the meeting, it was agreed to call Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas on behalf of Sohail Afridi.

The inside story of the PTI political committee meeting also came out. Sources say that it was discussed during the meeting that the situation is sensitive and the date should be postponed for now.

Earlier, Information Secretary PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shaukat Yousafzai said that no decision has been taken to end the long march.

He also said that Tehreek-e-Insaf is fully prepared for the long march. The Long March will be peaceful and will not use government resources.

Shaukat Yousafzai said that if the federal government negotiates, there may be some decision regarding the long march, but this time the long march will not end without achieving something.

The PTI leader said that we don’t need to remove the containers and open the roads, where the roads are closed, we will sit there.
