Negative trend in PSX, 100 index fell 1690 points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange Hundred Index was also affected by the Middle East war, US interest rates and the negative situation in the global stock and bond market and has closed negative for the third consecutive day in this business week.

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Hundred Index opened the trade today with a negative trend on Iran-US war tensions, which continued till the end of the trade.

100 index has closed at 174 thousand 776 after a decrease of 1690 points.

According to market sources, European, American and Japanese bond prices tend to fall on expectations of a US interest rate hike. The effects of which are also being set up on the stock exchange while investors are investing cautiously.

Deals of 61 crore shares were settled at 41 billion rupees in the Pakistani stock market today, while the market capitalization decreased by 200 billion rupees to 19 thousand 581 billion rupees today.
