Renowned Indian comedian and actor Sunil Paul criticized Bollywood’s ‘Dabangg’ Salman Khan for the poor box office performance of his films and raised questions on the current trends in Bollywood.

Referring to the Rs 500 crore success of a small-budget religious film, Sunil Paul said that while such films are making history, films with big stars like Salman Khan are struggling even to make Rs 50 crore.

The comedian said that Salman Khan should be ashamed of making unsuccessful and ineffective films despite such a huge fan following and huge budget and should reconsider his choice of films.

Sunil Paul explained that Bollywood fans are now preferring good content and story rather than just star glitz, which is why the traditional big formula stars are being rejected by the audience.
