Former US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta called the US war strategy in Iraq and Afghanistan a failure.

According to media reports, Leon Panetta said that the US did not have a clear purpose and end game for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He further said that the same mistake that was made in Iraq and Afghanistan is being repeated in the case of Iran.

The former US Secretary of Defense added that before sending troops to war, a clear objective, strategy and end game are necessary, but in Iraq and Afghanistan, the US could not clearly define these three things.

Panetta also said that the same problem exists with Iran, which shows that the US has not learned from past mistakes.
