A precious ring that was flushed down a train toilet in the US state of New Jersey has been recovered by a woman.

Julie Angelicola said she had just gotten off the NJ Transit train to use the restroom when she realized her precious wedding ring was missing.

According to Julie Angelicola, she was carefully cleaning all the soap from her hands with the help of toilet paper, while cleaning one finger, she quickly rolled up all the toilet paper and threw it in the toilet. Then flushed the toilet and went back to her seat.

Shortly after I realized my ring was missing I reported the ring missing to NJ Transit, after which the train was removed from service.

The crew lifted the train up with Jacks help and pulled out the toilet tank and opened it. There they found Angelica’s ring lying on top.

The ring was returned to Angelicola at a New Jersey Transit customer service center on Monday. He said that this ring has immense emotional significance for him.

The ring is believed to date from around 1905. She bought the ring at an antique store and later learned that the initials engraved inside the ring were the nicknames she and her husband used for each other.
