Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja was released shortly after his arrest.

Akhwanzada Hussain Yousafzai, the spokesperson of the opposition alliance Tehreek-e-Takhufuz Constitution of Pakistan, confirmed the arrest of the PTI leader.

He said that Salman Akram Raja was arrested in Nellore police station.

Akhwanzada Hussain Yousafzai further said that Salman Akram had gone to Kotli Sati to attend the funeral of Raja Ishtiaq Sati.

Some time later, in another statement, the spokesperson of the opposition alliance said that Salman Akram Raja has been released.

On the other hand, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar said that I was told by Shaukat Basra that the police detained Salman Akram Raja for 2 hours.

Barrister Gohar said that he condemns the detention of Salman Akram Raja. In the last few days, 700 workers have been arrested while arrest warrants have been issued for the members of the National and Provincial Assembly.
