Production of major industries increased at the start of the new financial year 2026-27.In July 2026, the production of major industries increased on a monthly and annual basis.

The Bureau of Statistics released the production data of major industries. According to the report issued from Islamabad, the production of major industries increased by 9.51% on monthly basis in July 2026.

According to the report, the production of major industries increased by 3.03% YoY in July 2026, the production of automobiles increased by 57% YoY in July 2026.

According to the report, production of transport equipment increased by 40.22% on annual basis, tobacco production increased by 35.82%.

According to the Bureau of Statistics report, apparel production increased by 22 percent year-on-year, while pharmaceutical production decreased by 20.79 percent.

According to the Bureau of Statistics report, production of machinery and equipment decreased by 13.33%, iron steel by 11.40% and chemicals products by 8.96% in July.
