Famous Pakistani actor and singer Haroon Shahid made a surprising revelation about his debut film Verna, saying that Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan was initially considered for the lead role.

Haroon Shahid recently appeared as a guest on a private TV program, where he shared his views on various issues.

A video clip of a recent interview is doing the rounds on social media, in which the actor recounts the experience of Shoaib Mansoor’s 2017 film Warnaan and recounts an unexpected detail about his initial casting.

According to Haroon Shahid, Kareena Kapoor was initially slated to be a part of the film Varanu, but due to expecting her first child, she left the project, after which Mahira Khan was cast.

The actor said that both the actresses are great personalities for me, my experience of working with them is of extraordinary importance.

Recounting his first meeting with Mahira Khan, Haroon Shahid also admitted to being impressed by her humility and simplicity.

He recalled that during the first script reading, I was going to get up from my seat because there was no proper place to sit, but Mahira forbade me to get up and said that I will sit on the floor.

According to Haroon Shahid, Mahira’s style left a lasting impression on my mind.

Haroon praised Mahira Khan for her professionalism, humility and dedication to work.

It should be noted that the movie Varna, written and directed by Shoaib Mansoor, was released in 2017, in which Mahira Khan and Haroon Shahid played the lead roles.

The film was Harun Shahid’s first film as an actor, in which he got an opportunity to work with Mahira Khan in a film with a social theme.
