Former Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager Disha In the case of Salyan’s death, the name of the former chief minister also appeared in the FIR after the allegations of gang rape and murder.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently registered an FIR in connection with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager Disha Salyan in 2020.

According to Indian media, provisions related to murder, gang rape, criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence and providing false information have been included in the CBI’s FIR.

The FIR names several well-known personalities, whose alleged roles will be probed, including Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray, actress Rhea Chakraborty, actors Dino Maurya and Sooraj Pancholi.

According to the Indian newspaper Times of India, the names of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, former state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Shuvak Chakraborty, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh and former police officer Sachin Vaze are also included in the FIR.

The FIR also mentions an alleged conspiracy to fabricate and promote a ‘false suicide story’, while suppressing, destroying or tampering with evidence.

The case also mentions police officers, forensic officials, doctors and staff, security personnel of the residential building and members of the police team that later investigated Disha Salian’s post-mortem.

Disha Salian’s father Satish Salian’s lawyer, Nalish Ojha, while talking to the media alleged that Disha was murdered after being gang-raped and her death was later framed as a suicide.

The lawyer also accused Aditya Thackeray of being involved in the alleged child abuse and claimed that Disha had video evidence of the alleged abuse.

According to Nalesh Ojha, Disha allegedly sent the videos to Sushant Singh Rajput, who shared them with Rhea Chakraborty, the material later reaching Aditya Thackeray.

The lawyer alleged that Disha Salyan and Sushant Singh Rajput were killed because of alleged evidence.

It should be noted that while ordering the CBI to investigate the death of Disha Salyan, the Indian court had raised questions about Mumbai Police not registering an FIR for almost 6 years.

The court also questioned the long term of the case as an accidental death and pointed out ‘glaring inconsistencies’ in the investigation.

Disha Salyan died after falling from the 12th floor of a residential building in Malad, Mumbai on 8 June 2020. The Mumbai Police later filed a report of accidental death.

On 14 June 2020, 6 days after the incident, Sushant Singh Rajput was also found dead at his residence in Mumbai, after which speculations started about a possible connection between the two incidents.
