Riyadh (AFP/Newsdesk) After the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, the military chiefs of Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia have held an emergency meeting in Riyadh, in which they reiterated their determination to transform the Makkah agreement into effective military cooperation. The participants of the meeting praised the diligence and professional skills of the Saudi armed forces. In the event of an attack on a country included in the Makkah Defense Agreement, the response will be decided according to the request of the attacked country and its needs. Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council condemned the Houthi attacks and affirmed Saudi Arabia’s right to self-defense. Meanwhile, on the occasion of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey held a meeting under the Makkah Defense Alliance, in which Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan reviewed the progress made in the establishment of General Secretariat committees and working groups under the agreement and the preparations for starting their work.
