Food and drinks are expensive in Peshawar

Prices of food and drink have increased in Peshawar.

According to a shopkeeper in Peshawar, rice has increased from Rs 360 per kg to Rs 380 per kg and lentil has increased from Rs 240 per kg to Rs 260 per kg.

The shopkeeper has said that beans have increased from Rs 460 to Rs 500 per kg, a 20 kg bag of flour has increased from Rs 2800 to Rs 3300, while sugar has increased from Rs 140 to Rs 150 per kg.

According to the shopkeeper, the price of tomatoes increased from 200 to 250 rupees per kg, the price of potatoes increased from 80 rupees to 100 rupees per kg, while the price of bananas per dozen increased to 200 rupees after increasing by 50 rupees.

The price of apple increased by Rs 50 to Rs 400 per kg and the price of grapes increased by Rs 100 per kg to Rs 600 per kg.

The shopkeeper says that the price of peaches has increased from Rs 300 to Rs 400 per kg.
