French football star and former Real Madrid player Karim Benzema shared a picture of performing Umrah from Masjid al-Haram, Makkah.

In the picture, Karim Benzema is seen in a state of Ihram, with which he wrote ‘Alhamdulillah for everything’.

Karim Benzema, 38, is currently out of a club, with Al-Hilal and Benzema terminating his contract by mutual consent, ending his brief 6-month stay with the Saudi club.

Despite his short spell with Al Hilal, Benzema’s performance was impressive, making 16 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists, while also winning the King’s Cup with the club.

Karim Benzema has also been speculated to return to his former club Lyon, where he started his professional career.

Lyon’s sporting director, Mathieu-Louis Jean, has confirmed that contact was made through an intermediary this summer, but the matter did not progress due to Benzema’s contract.

On the other hand, United Arab Emirates second division club Hey Bay Falcons have also invited several well-known independent players, including Benzema, to train and play for the club.

Along with Benzema, the names of players like Paul Pogba, Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho are also included in the invitation.
