Sukkur, Multan (Agencies, Rep. Jang) Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeemur Rahman has said that the government cannot stop the people from reaching Islamabad by closing the roads. The train was deliberately delayed, the protest will continue until public demands are met. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference in Sukkur and Bahawalpur railway station. Earlier, the participants of the Super Train March were given a warm welcome at the railway stations of Hyderabad, Tando Adam, Rohri and Bahawalpur. After that when he reached Multan, thousands of workers and people welcomed him and shouted slogans. Addressing the government, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami said that do not install containers, give relief to the people. Do not close the cities, open highways of people, highways of economy, highways of education and employment. Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said that petroleum levy is a tax on the people. If the price of petrol increases in the global market, it affects the whole world, but in Pakistan, the government puts the entire burden on the people through additional taxes. He said that the petroleum levy has nothing to do with the global market price, so the government should abolish it so that rent and daily necessities can be affordable. The only demand of the movement of Jamaat-e-Islami is to end the petroleum levy and give real relief to the people. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the corruption of the FBR staff has reached 1,300 billion rupees, while the government expenses are not reducing.
