Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded that the expenses of the federal government have exceeded 1 trillion rupees, a petroleum levy of 107 rupees per liter is being charged on petrol, the government is asking for a sacrifice from the public by increasing its expenses by 30%.

While giving a press conference in Mansurah, Hafiz Naeemur Rahman has said that there are many types of taxes besides this, there is no justification for petroleum levy, the government collects this tax to hide its corruption and looting.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman says that the government asks us for suggestions in the negotiations, although we have given suggestions, but the government is not ready to accept them, many meetings have been held and the government asks for time every time.

He said that we ask that the interest be reduced to 3 percent, the government says that the State Bank is independent, although the appointments in the State Bank are made by the government.

Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami said that the movement of Jamaat-e-Islami has now become the voice of the entire nation, we are starting our march from tomorrow, the petroleum levy must be abolished in any case, if the government abolishes the levy then we can talk, otherwise we will not end the long march in any case.

He clarified that if the government comes with a formal proposal, negotiations will be held.
