Bollywood actor Govinda has responded to criticism for going to Lal Baghicha Raja Pandal with alleged girlfriend Komal Rani Swarankar.

The 62-year-old actor has said that he went with Komal Rani to pray for the success of his upcoming film ‘Roopa’, in which Komal stars opposite me.

Talking to the media, Govinda has said that the way people are reacting, earlier I went there with Karisma Kapoor and my films were successful then, I also went to Lal Baghichha with Raveena Tandon and the film was successful, this time I went with Komal Rani and prayed for the film.

The actor has also reacted to the continuous speculations regarding the film and his relationship with Komal Rani.

They say that if something is starting, why is it being discussed so much? I am becoming famous, so what bothers people.

On the other hand, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja while talking to the media at the Mumbai airport mentioned her love for pets and said that no matter how much love you give to humans, they cheat, whereas animals always stay together.

It may be noted that rumors of a romantic relationship between Govinda and Komal Rani Swarankar have been doing the rounds since they were seen together, Sunita Ahuja has also criticized the age difference between the two in the past.

According to the report, Sunita filed a divorce petition in December 2024, but withdrew the petition in August this year.

He later claimed that Govinda intended to marry Komal, but Govinda’s manager denied the claim saying that there was no question of a second marriage.
