Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Wasim Akram has said that he has been watching Pakistan cricket in the same way for the last five or six years, working in PSL. Now the nation has to tell the truth because they have high expectations from their team.

Talking to the media in Lahore, Sultan of Swing Wasim Akram said that we have lost home and away to Bangladesh, the alarm was already there but it was not acted upon.

He said that any coach comes, the best coach comes, me or Kristen comes, you have the talent.

The former captain said that if we had such talent, like a 14-year-old boy from a neighboring country, we would have found out. It’s been 10 years of PSL, has PSL produced a better player? The bowlers must have come.

He also said that the domestic system that PCB has made should run for three to four years. No plan except patience and planning.

Wasim Akram said that as every Pakistani is depressed after watching the performance, so am I.

The Sultan of Swing said that the white ball team is fine but not the red ball, we find it difficult. Revive club cricket, PCB invests 10, 10 crores in Karachi and Lahore, talent has to come from club cricket.

He said that there should be continuity in the team, but the boys are the same, they come and go. Frontfoot doesn’t come out, playing bowlers like Robinson standing at the crease. Play hard but it requires talent.

Talking about the bowlers, the former record-setting fast bowler said that bowling one ball at a speed of 150 is not a big deal, bowling at a speed of 140 all day is amazing. Don’t get excited about these young fast bowlers, let them play, then form an opinion.

He said that Shaheen Afridi is an experienced bowler, I don’t know why his speed has decreased but England needs such an experienced bowler.

The former captain added that you sent one pace fast bowlers in England, would have sent one half as fast. I would have said I want Akif Javed, he bowled well in England recently.

He said that we have been playing in similar conditions, we had variety and were not the same.
