A 20% increase in influenza cases has been reported in government and private hospitals in Karachi.

According to Dr. Javed Khan, a respiratory specialist, there has been an increase in cases of influenza in the past few days. Influenza vaccines are administered in private hospitals. This year, the vaccine is not yet available, due to which the people who get the influenza vaccine every year are waiting for the vaccine.

Dr. Javed Khan has said that in Karachi Corona cases are also being reported continuously And 3 to 4 cases are coming every week, current corona cases are mostly mild and patients come to the hospital with mild pneumonia, most corona patients recover in 2 to 3 days.

He said that caution is necessary to prevent influenza and corona, in case of fever, cough or cold, keep a distance from others and use a mask when symptoms of the disease appear.

According to Dr Javed Khan, hands should be washed frequently with soap, unnecessary touching of eyes, nose and mouth should be avoided while sick people should avoid going to crowds and unnecessary gatherings.
