Admiral Naveed Ashraf, the Chief of the Pakistan Navy, was met by the Chief Admiral of the Indonesian Navy, Dr. Muhammad Ali, at the Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.

According to the Armed Forces Public Relations Department ISPR, the Indonesian Naval Chief was presented with a guard of honor upon his arrival at the Naval Headquarters. The Indonesian Naval Chief laid flowers at the Martyrs’ Memorial.

According to ISPR, issues of mutual interest, regional maritime security and bilateral maritime cooperation were discussed in the meeting.

According to ISPR, the two sides reiterated their commitment to further enhance cooperation through training, mutual visits and joint naval exercises.

Indonesian Navy chief appreciated Pakistan Navy’s efforts for regional maritime security.

According to ISPR, during his visit to Karachi, Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali met the field commanders of Pakistan Navy.

Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali also met the Managing Director of Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works, visited the Fleet Unit of Pakistan Navy and the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Center.

According to ISPR, Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali’s visit to Pakistan-Indonesia will help strengthen defense and naval cooperation.
