After the recent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, Pakistan has sent a warning message to Iran on behalf of Saudi Arabia, saying that Iran is threatening its Allies Control the Yemeni Houthis.

The foreign news agency report claimed that Pakistan’s message from Saudi Arabia to Iran was clear to either rein in the Houthis or risk turning a proxy conflict into a wider regional security crisis.

According to Reuters, a senior regional diplomat said that Pakistan had conveyed a message to Iran in the past 24 hours urging Iran to use its influence to stop Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.

The news agency reported that Pakistani sources say that Saudi officials in Riyadh have met with senior Pakistani and Turkish military representatives to consider coordinating their response and that the three countries have agreed that their forces will not enter Yemen and that any response will be carried out from within Saudi borders.

According to the news agency, another Pakistani source has said that no decision has been made yet regarding joining the counter-attacks.

Reuters says that Pakistan and Turkey’s military agreement with Saudi Arabia is of a defensive nature and is limited to the security of the Saudi mainland.

The news agency said Pakistani forces could provide military, technical, ground or air support inside Saudi Arabia, but would not participate in hostilities on foreign soil.

It should be noted that the Houthis attacked an air base in Khamis Mushit in Saudi Arabia and oil installations in nearby cities on Tuesday, injuring 73 people.

It is one of the biggest attacks on Saudi Arabia since the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran in February this year.
