Iran has warned that if the US or Israel strike again, the war could be extended to the Indian Ocean and beyond.

Adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, has said that the current conflict has spread from the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz to the Red Sea, so in the event of further war, the front could extend to the Indian Ocean and possibly beyond.

In a video released to the Iranian news agency Fars News, Safavi said that Iran’s army has prepared plans to deal with the worst-case scenario in case of another attack by the US and Israel.

He said that if the US starts a new war, a new front can open in the center of the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait.

Safavi also praised Yemen’s Houthis for taking control of the Red Sea coastal region.
