Jordanian politician and former interior minister Samir Habshana said in his article written for the Arab media that the ongoing war in the Gulf is more likely to end in a compromise rather than a decisive victory for one side.

In an article published on the Arab media, Samir Habashna has expressed his opinion and said that America and Israel could not achieve their main objectives of war against Iran. Iran’s nuclear program has not been completely dismantled, its missile system has not been dismantled and the Iranian regime has not been dismantled.

He has said that although Iran’s supreme leader and many important leaders were martyred, infrastructure was severely damaged and Iranian military capability was weakened, Iran has not surrendered and its resistance continues.

Samir Habshna says that even tough economic sanctions cannot force Iran to back down easily because Iran has bordering countries and ties with important countries in the region including Russia.

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has been described as the most serious consequence of the war, saying that it has increased the risk of an increase in global oil prices, recession and a major financial and economic crisis.

He has emphasized in his article that to end the war, Pakistan, Oman and Qatar will have to strengthen their mediation efforts, Europe and China should also be included in the negotiations.

According to the former interior minister of Jordan, such an agreement is necessary to restore maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, reduce the risk of global economic crisis and ensure the security and sovereignty of the Arab states that are not directly involved in the war.
