Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan broke the silence on the rumors of retirement in his unique way.

The 83-year-old actor became the center of attention after one of his posts suggested that he was thinking of retiring from acting and hosting a TV show.

In one of his posts, the Shahshah of Bollywood shared a newspaper clipping in which the news about the actor’s retirement was published and also criticized the newspaper institution, writing that I had written in the blog, ‘It’s late, it’s time to retire’.

In his latest post, Amitabh Bachchan clarified that it meant it was late, time to sleep, time to retire from the day’s work.

The actor wrote that I only used the word retire to mean to finish the day’s work and go to bed, not to indicate retirement from acting or hosting.

He added that no I am not retiring from work, in English it means I am going to sleep now and you are not invited there.

Amitabh Bachchan is currently hosting the 18th season of Kon Banega Crorepati, the popular game show that first aired in 2000.
