Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar had a telephonic conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, in which bilateral relations and regional issues of mutual interest were discussed.

According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, during the conversation, the joint position of Pakistan and Turkey on the issue of Palestine was reiterated.

Ishaq Dar supported Britain’s move to ban imports from illegal Israeli settlements.

The two foreign ministers agreed to continue close consultations on regional issues, while also emphasizing on continuing regional consultations through the Regional Four with Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Ishaq Dar and Haqan Fidan also agreed to meet on the sidelines of the upcoming United Nations General Assembly session.

According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, the meeting between the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Turkey will be held in New York.
