Pakistan cricket team’s wicket-keeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan has said in his reply to NCCIA that he has not been told till date that he is being attributed to online gambling.

Geo News has obtained Mohammad Rizwan’s response to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) questionnaire.

Mohammad Rizwan in his reply said that as a cricketer I served the Pakistani team to the best of my ability.

He said that on September 8, a notice was received from the NCCIA, till date it has not been told which online gambling is being attributed to him? Neither was told about the relevant incident and my role in it.

Mohammad Rizwan said that during the appearance, he asked for the details of the allegations made against him several times. Even when asked, the details of the allegations against me were not given.

In response, he said that the International Cricket Council’s anti-corruption unit is the relevant forum for the corruption of cricketers. The allegations were not reported to the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit.

Mohammad Rizwan also said in reply that it is incomprehensible for NCCIA to investigate such a case. Investigation into any such complaint is the prerogative of the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit.
