Netflix provided a synopsis for the film:
“Saving money is the best entertainment and the perfect way to kill time.” said Yui Katakura, a 40-year-old single woman. She deliberately avoided anything she considered uneconomical, including romance, marriage, and childbirth. During a free medical check-up, she was diagnosed with cancer and told she only had one year to live. Although the doctor urges surgery, Yui is secretly relieved. “If I were to die, there was no need to save money anymore.” Her life changes when Sena, a pink-haired nightclub host, unexpectedly approaches and asks, “Can you lend me some money?” Yui responds by “buying it” for 720,000 yen. What starts as a strange arrangement gradually turns into a warm and unconventional bond, and to their surprise, an unpredictable love gradually begins to form.
