In Karachi, police arrested 4 accused in injured condition during encounters in different areas.
According to the police, there was an exchange of fire between the police and robbers near the Bagh-e-Bahar wedding hall on Khalid Bin Waleed Road within the limits of Firozabad police station, as a result of which one robber was arrested with injuries.
The arrested accused was identified as Abdul Aziz son of Noor Hussain.
On the other hand, there was an alleged encounter between police and armed suspects near Lyari Expressway in Block 21 of FB Industrial Area police station.
After the exchange of fire, the police arrested an accused in an injured condition, who was identified as Azmatullah son of Muhammad Gul.
According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, pistols and bullets were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused, while his accomplice escaped.
According to the police, 2 suspects were arrested in injured condition during the police encounters in New Karachi Industrial Area Siddiqabad and New Karachi Sector 5E. Weapons and mobile phones were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects.
On the other hand, a citizen who was seriously injured in the firing of a bandit a week ago in North Karachi area of Karachi died during treatment.
According to the police, in the night between 12th and 13th of September, Noor Ahmed had reported that helper 15 had been robbed of a mobile phone at gunpoint in North Karachi Sector 5A4.
Auxiliary police reached the spot and traced the robbers through the location of the mobile phone.
According to the police, during a raid in a street, 2 robbers were trying to escape, when citizen Noor Ahmed caught one of the robbers. At the same time, Noor Ahmed was seriously injured due to a bullet in the stomach, while the robber Yusuf was also injured by his own bullet in the leg. The police arrested Yusuf and recovered the weapon from his possession.
The police shifted the injured and arrested bandit to Jinnah Hospital for medical assistance, where he is under treatment in police custody, while the seriously injured citizen Noor Ahmed died in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital on Saturday due to his injuries.
According to the police, the total number of people killed by robbers this year has reached 54.
