The fire that broke out in an old clothes recycling factory in the Landhi Export Processing Zone of Karachi has not yet been brought under control.

The fire in the export processing zone has been declared as third-degree and damaged the factory building.

According to rescue officials, efforts are being made to control the fire with the help of 16 fire tenders, water bowsers and snorkels.

According to the fire brigade officials, the fire in the export processing zone factory has intensified, fire tenders have been called from across the city.

Officials say that there are difficulties in the operation due to the smoke, there is a risk of the building collapsing due to cracks, there is a large amount of used cloth in the building.

The fire brigade officials have said that the cause of the fire is not yet known, there is no staff in the factory at that time.

According to the spokesperson of Sindh Rangers, the Rangers are involved in the fire rescue operation in Landhi Export Processing Zone.

The spokesperson said that the Rangers personnel along with the fire brigade and rescue personnel are engaged in rescue operations, the first priority is to protect human lives and prevent the fire from spreading further.
