In a statement issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, it has been said that Pakistan has expressed serious concern on the use of the territory of Afghanistan for planning and planning terrorist attacks within Pakistan. According to the statement, the presence of alleged terrorist safe havens in Afghanistan as well as their recruitment and support structures is a direct threat to Pakistan’s security. According to the Ministry of Information, Pakistan has conveyed these concerns to the Afghan Taliban government and its relevant representatives several times. The statement urged the Afghan authorities to take effective action against the terrorist networks in Afghanistan instead of blaming others for terrorism. The Ministry of Information also condemned the statement by Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid’s threat of a “crushing response” to Pakistan. According to Pakistan’s position, the Afghan Taliban government should take action against terrorist networks allegedly active on its soil, and not try to divert attention from responsibility. The statement said that Pakistan has taken note of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ condemnation of the Kohat attack and its expression of sympathy to the affected families, however, according to the Pakistani Ministry of Information, terrorism was not clearly mentioned in the said statement.
