Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced the postponement of the long march and said that our long march will leave from Peshawar on October 4.

He alleged that government officials from other provinces are confusing with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government officials. The secretariat from which the province runs has been closed in the name of an alleged fake threat.

Earlier, the inside story of the meeting of the political committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf came out. According to the sources, it has been agreed in the meeting that the long march should be postponed till October 5. The meeting was told that convoys from Peshawar region will reach Swabi on October 4. On October 5, the convoy will leave for Islamabad from Swabi.

In the meeting, some members said that the situation is sensitive, so the long march should be postponed for now. Doing so will increase political pressure on the federal government.

It was said in the meeting that contacts with other opposition parties are ongoing, their joining in the protest can increase the effect of the protest. It was decided that the official announcement of postponing the march will be made after taking Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas into confidence.
