The judicial commission set up to investigate the Mir Raza case decided to take a written response instead of summoning senior police officers.
The Judicial Commission has issued an order for yesterday’s hearing, in which it is said that the Commission recorded the statement of former investigating officer Shabbir Laghari during the proceedings and also heard the statement of Mir Raza’s business partner Ahmed.
It has been said in the order that Ahmed asked for time to meet Mir Raza’s family and talk to them. After talking to the family, if Ahmed wants to say anything more, he can submit his position through an affidavit. The statement given through the affidavit will also be available to the public.
According to the order, the newspapers of Firozabad and Golestan-e-Johar police stations were received by the commission in sealed condition. Unfortunately, the statements of the witnesses related to the newspapers had already been recorded.
The order said that while the dailies were returned to the focal person of the Sindh government in the same condition, the commission appreciated the cooperation of the CEO and division head of the private bank.
