Due to the continuous and heavy monsoon rains, the devastating floods in different parts of Nepal caused widespread destruction, many settlements were wiped out while the roads and bridges were also flooded.
Amidst the widespread devastation, one house caught everyone’s attention as it was completely unscathed among the surrounding destroyed houses, dubbed the ‘Miracle House’ by visitors.
Despite most of the houses around the house being destroyed or swept away by mudslides, the ‘Miracle House’ suffered surprisingly little damage.
Aerial photographs show that the house is surrounded by flood debris and a thick layer of mud, but the basic structure of the building remains intact.
According to local reports, factors such as the house’s strong foundation and concrete construction and being built at a relatively high elevation helped it withstand the fast-moving flood relay.
Pictures and videos of the house that was left unscathed quickly went viral on social media.
