Lahore (Khalid Mahmud Khalid) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed his initial program of attending and addressing the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly and now Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will address the General Assembly in his place. In the initial programme, Modi was scheduled to address the General Assembly on September 25, but in the list released later, India was represented at the ministerial level. Modi’s non-participation has come at a time when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will address the General Assembly on September 25. According to the Indian media, it is expected that Shahbaz Sharif will present Pakistan’s position at the United Nations forum.
