According to wildlife officials, the accused used to catch sparrows by setting traps in different areas and sell them in different cities.

Wildlife Rangers seized more than 4,000 birds during the operation.

Officials say that the action against the elements involved in illegal hunting of eco-friendly sparrows is going on and the group of sparrow poachers has been traced.

According to wildlife officials, the recovered sparrows will be released in the open, while the accused will be arrested and brought to justice.

The crackdown on wildlife poaching has also been intensified in Sargodha.
