Negotiations and diplomacy are the only viable ways for peace: Ishaq Dar and Abbas Araqchi’s telephonic communication

Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi have had a telephone conversation.

Spokesperson of the Foreign Office says that Ishaq Dar and the Iranian counterpart have discussed the latest regional situation.

Ishaq Dar emphasized the importance of continuous energy supply in the regional situation and said that safe and fast transportation of ships is essential for developing countries and global supply chains.

The Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister said that negotiations and diplomacy are the only viable way for peace and stability in the region.

According to the Foreign Office, the two leaders agreed to continue close cooperation between Pakistan and Iran and to meet in New York.

Ishaq Dar and Abbas Araqchi are expected to meet on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
