With the French group slowly adding projects, the platform continues to work with star Audrey Fleurot, with a new crime/thriller remake from Korea and the return of a proven French expert at the helm.
While Audrey Fleurot is about to launch the prestigious mini-series The Countess of Monte Cristo On TF1 and Netflix globally, the platform has just begun producing a project that marks the launch of her career. Since her first dramatic role in the long-running drama series whirlpoolFleurout mostly chose to appear in comedies, broad or less broad, and is best known as the brave Counselor Morgan in HPI. But the movie A cran (Working Title) sees her playing a decorated anti-hero cop, in an adaptation of Korean movie 2015 Evil Chronicleswhich remained unpublished in France, as far as we know.

Claire Zeller, a highly respected and soon-to-be-promoted police chief, has her own definition of justice. While her partner was pregnant and her life was about to change, she shot a man who brutally assaulted her, and fled the scene of the crime. The next day, outside her office windows, she discovers the man’s body hanging from a construction crane. Claire is then assigned to investigate the murder she committed; It’s the beginning of an unstoppable spiral that could see her lose everything.

Jordana is known in France as a successful singer, but she has also played starring roles in films and television. One of her most successful projects was in 2017 Le Briofor which she received a César Award for Best Newcomer. She had a starring role in the series irresistible For Disney+. This is Jordana’s first project for Netflix.
Rounding out the cast is Matthieu Demywhich was seen as the pioneer of the French takeover Legendary/Legendary ObsessedAnd participated in its creation On the edge With Julie Delpy; Jeremy Gillett and Omar Zia.
What do we know about A cran (work title)?
The film is directed by Samuel Bowdenwhich was at the helm of one of the only horror/genre series ordered by Netflix France: Marianne. The French director was also a director-for-hire on two episodes of the series Anger (which officially remains in limbo for season 3); He has also worked extensively in French soap operas with Action Star Lenoir Dairy (the Missing bullet trilogy). He also co-wrote the original film with Corinne Garvin, Regis Blondeau and Matthew Misoff. Filming will take place starting this week in the Paris region, and is scheduled to move to Lyon in October and November.
When will A cran (Work title) will be released?
No official release has been set by Netflix. Given the production schedule and the many projects underway for 2027, we would be surprised if the film is released by late 2027; A global reveal in the first half of 2028 seems most likely.
