A ceremony was organized in honor of Pakistani actor and comedian Iftikhar Thakur and renowned Pakistani artist and senior journalist anchor Junaid Saleem by Chaudhry Raffaqat Ali, Vice President of Al Khidmat Europe at Norwegian Islamic Cultural Center Oslo.

The guests had come to join the fund-raising dinner event for the construction of the Islamic Cultural Center Bjöndal Norway Mosque.

Due to the efforts of the Pakistani guests, the event raised more than four million crowns in an hour.

The men and women of the overseas Norwegian Pakistani community who came to the event actively participated in fundraising.

Maulana Mufti Hafiz Salimullah Alvi started the ceremony with the recitation of the Holy Quran, while the Naat of the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, was read by Waqas Mir.

The ceremony was addressed by the in-charge d affairs of the Embassy of Pakistan Muhammad Saleemullah Khan Junaid Saleem Iftikhar Thakur Syed Rizwan Ahmed Chaudhry Rafaqaat Ali and others and thanked all those people who actively contributed funds to build the house of Allah in Norway.

This historic fund raising is a testament to the fact that when the intentions are pure and the goal is the pleasure of Allah, the Pakistani community in Norway always stands side by side for religious and charitable causes.
