IG Sindh Javed Alam Odhu has said that there has been an overall improvement in the crime situation in Sindh. However, there has been an increase in cases of mobile phone theft.

Speaking to the media after the meeting in Karachi, Javed Alam Odhu said that the law and order situation was discussed in the meeting.

He said that there was a discussion on how to stop drugs. Drug policy was considered.

Javed Alam Odhu said that apart from the Anmol Pinki case, more than 9 thousand accused have been arrested in drug cases. Anmol Pinky was challaned in 23 cases.

He said that I will also talk to the IG Balochistan to prevent drugs. There are drug factories in Balochistan. We have told the standing committee about the people involved in the nefarious drug trade. The drug supplier has been killed last night.

IG Sindh said that awareness campaign has been discussed in educational institutions for anti-narcotics.

Javed Alam Odhu said that the names of police officers have been mentioned in the threats in the Mir Raza case. Senior police officers are still in charge of the inquiry.

He said that the investigation in our Mir Raza case is going on satisfactorily.

IG Sindh said that action will be taken according to the law on the incident of police violence in the premises of the court.

He said that the incidents of robbery and murder have decreased.
