Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has met with Libya’s Acting Foreign Minister Altahir al-Baawar on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting.

In the meeting, it was agreed to further strengthen the friendly relations between Pakistan and Libya and increase commercial, educational and business ties.

The two leaders discussed the regional and global situation, the changing situation in the Middle East, regional peace, energy supply and the global economy, while the effects of the Middle East situation on developing countries were also discussed.

Acting Foreign Minister of Libya appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for regional peace and stability.

On this occasion, Ishaq Dar said that dialogue and diplomacy is the only viable way to resolve regional challenges, all parties should return to Islamabad MoU for regional stability.
