
Foreign Office Spokesperson Sajjad Haider says that Pakistan is bound by the Makkah Agreement and stands side by side with Saudi Arabia.
He has said in his weekly briefing that he condemns the Houthi attack on the holy places in Saudi Arabia. This heinous attack is very worrying and condemnable. This attack has hurt the feelings of Muslims around the world. We appreciate the swift and timely actions of the Saudi armed forces to thwart the attack.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office has said that Pakistan is assessing the situation in the Middle East very seriously and is also looking at the emerging situation in the context of Houthi attacks in the Middle East.
He said that Pakistan also condemned the attack on the East-West pipeline this week.
Speaking about the recent visit of Lebanese Interior Minister Ahmed Hajjar to Pakistan, Sajjad Haider said that a memorandum of understanding was also signed for the exchange of convicted persons.
He said that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar had a telephone conversation with the head of the International Atomic Agency, Raphael Grossi.
Spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that yesterday, the Indian Affairs Minister was summoned for the provocation of the Indian Navy and a strong protest was recorded.
He said that the protest was recorded after the Indian ship rammed the Pakistan Navy ship, the Indian ship made aggressive movements very close to the Pakistani ship.
Sajjad Haider said that the action of the Indian ship resulted in a collision between the two ships, the Indian action is a serious violation of international law and the bilateral agreement of 1991.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office has said that Pakistan strongly rejected the Indian action, and India should strictly abide by international laws and bilateral agreements.
He said that the Pakistani High Commission will also give a protest letter to the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in New Delhi. Pakistan demanded the international community to take notice of India’s provocative policy.
Sajjad Haider has also said that India should refrain from irresponsible actions that may further destabilize South Asia.
