Google AI Plus plan introduced in Pakistan
In 2025, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) introduced the Google AI Plus plan in Pakistan, which will play an important role in promoting digital development, education and creativity in the country.
The plan aims to provide easy access to advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tools and increase the creativity and professional skills of the youth.
This plan includes advanced features like Gemini 2.5 Pro, Veo 3 Fast video model and Gemini integration. Users will be offered 200 GB of storage and other features, which can be shared with up to five people under the same plan.
This plan is an important step towards the digital revolution in the education sector with the partnership of Pakistan and Google. SIFC’s support is expected to open new doors of development in technology, education and creative sectors in the country.
The “AI” feature on Gmail
In 2025, the Google company has introduced advanced AI features in its email service for the convenience of users. Under this feature, a summary of long email threads will be automatically generated and displayed together with a single click.
This feature was first introduced by Google in May 2025 for iOS and Android users, after the success of which this facility has now been provided to web users as well.
With the new update, summaries of longer email threads will appear prominently directly above the email, giving users quick access to important information. Google’s AI Assistant will summarize the key points of multiple messages in long email threads and present them in a concise manner.
Interestingly, as new messages are added, the summary will automatically update and users will also get the latest information. Apart from this, Google has also added a side panel to its AI Gemini, through which users will be able to create a summary of any email in one click.
New Artificial Intelligence feature in YouTube Shorts
Last year, YouTube introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) feature to create video shorts. This tool can be used to add footage, which can turn an idea into a reality.
DreamScreen previously only allowed creators to add video backgrounds using AI, but now YouTube Shorts will also be able to create AI-generated videos.
According to YouTube, it is integrating Google DeepMind’s latest video generation model ‘View 2’ with DreamScreen, using which users can create ‘stand-alone’ videos in shorts. This feature aims to help creators create footage on the platform.
The View2 tool is a “text to video generator”, so users can easily create a video by writing whatever they have in mind, while the View2 AI model does the work of creating the video. DeepMind claims that the videos produced by Wave 2 are closer to reality.
Advanced features powered by artificial intelligence in Google Photos
The 10th anniversary of Google Photos in 2025 has added advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features that were previously only available on Pixel devices but are now being rolled out to all users. The first feature is “Generative AI”, using which users will be able to easily make changes to their photos.
Its second feature is “Auto Frame”, this feature offers suggestions to improve the composition of the photo, such as cropping the photo more or less from the top or bottom, widening the photo, or filling in empty spaces with the help of AI.
Also included is a feature called AI Enhance, which combines various AI effects to offer three automatic edits, including brightening or brightening an image, removing unnecessary objects, and other changes.
Users can also tap on specific sections to get suggestions for editing tools suitable for them. Additionally, Google has also introduced a new feature, through which users can share their albums with others through a QR code.
AI investment has changed the face of global technology
Changing the direction of global technology, AI investment breaks historical records. According to a British news agency report, 448 trillion rupees ($1.6 trillion) was invested in AI during 2013-2024, mostly focused on data centers, infrastructure and chips. Both big companies like Microsoft and Nvidia and startups are participating in the artificial intelligence boom. Much of the investment money is circulating in interdependent financial circles, raising fears of a potential financial bubble.
AI investments are helping to increase productivity in healthcare, automotive, finance, manufacturing and other sectors. Investments in artificial intelligence (AI) have set historic records over the past decade, with a total of $1.6 trillion invested between 2013 and 2024.
Much of the investment has been concentrated in data centers, infrastructure, energy sources and chips, while AI is helping to increase productivity in various applications such as healthcare, autonomous vehicles, financial technology and manufacturing. Both giants such as Microsoft, Nvidia and startups are participating in the AI boom, with startups raising $70 billion in the first quarter alone.
Market value has risen sharply, but earnings haven’t kept up, raising fears of a financial bubble among investors. Some investments are circulating through circular financing agreements, where companies finance each other through purchases and loans.
The Magnificent Seven plan to spend $300 billion on AI by 2025, which will play a key role in changing the global technology landscape.
