After the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Hamad Azhar, it has been decided to speed up the execution of the already issued warrants of PTI leaders wanted in various cases.

Sources say that PTI leaders facing court warrants in various cases, including the November 2024 D Chowk protest, are likely to be arrested.

Warrants already issued against Junaid Akbar and Abdul Ghani in cases related to D Chowk protest will be executed, while judicial warrants issued against Shibli Faraz, Murad Saeed and Hammad Azhar in judicial complex cases will also be executed.

Sources say that Zartaj Gul, Aamir Masood Mughal, Dr. Amjad Ali and Meena Khan Afridi are also among the wanted leaders in various cases in Islamabad.

It has also been decided to continue the ongoing legal proceedings in the Faizabad protest case against Ali Amin Gandapur and Umar Tanveer Butt.

Possible arrests of PTI leaders will be based on already filed FIRs and court warrants issued in the past.

Islamabad Police have been instructed to execute the court warrants of PTI leaders wanted in the cases registered in various police stations in accordance with the law.
