Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived in New York to participate in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are also accompanying the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will address the United Nations General Assembly on September 25.

In his address, the Prime Minister will present Pakistan’s position on the changing regional and global security situation, while stressing the importance of dialogue, diplomacy and peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will highlight Pakistan’s active diplomatic and mediation efforts to end tensions, promote peace and stability in the region and present Pakistan’s priorities in sustainable development, climate change, and the fight against terrorism.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also present Pakistan’s priorities on important global issues including Islamophobia and global economic challenges.
