Former Chairman Senate and senior leader of People’s Party Senator Raza Rabbani advised the ruling party Muslim League (N) to negotiate with the protesting political parties.

In a statement, the PP senator said that dialogue and protest are two important wheels of a democratic system, protest is a constitutional right, this right should be exercised peacefully and within the limits of the law.

He said that the federal government should avoid excessive reaction to suppress the right to protest, there is no justification for arrests at this stage.

Raza Rabbani said that the federal government should call a joint session of the parliament, so that the parliament can be taken into confidence on Pakistan’s role in the US-Iran conflict and the Makkah Defense Agreement.
